how easy is it to transform a vinyl hardtop for an e30 to a painted one i.e strip of the vinyl..etc (what are the stages)
im thinking of buying a vinyl hardtop were the vinyl is lifting of the surface of the roof... is this ok to buy?? :P

Not easy and not cheap when done 'properly'. You would be probably looking at £500+ to get a good finish. Prep work is very important and what is costly.
