Hi all, got a 318i cabrio on a J plate and it needs new shocks and springs all round as well as new anti roll bar bushes and a new steering rack :( . Next year I'm planning a M20 conversion so my question is What parts are different between the two models? My car has discs all round and ABS. Is 325i springs and shocks a direct fit? are there any differences in roll bar or the steering rack? I'd rather change everything over ready for the conversion now while I'm at it. Any info will be greatly recieved! :D

Dampers and front springs from a 325 saloon will be OK, but rear springs need to be touring spec, (or cab of course.)

I would imagine the front will ride a bit high (and stiff) until you have the new engine in?

Nothing a couple of blocks of lead on the chassis rails won't cure!
