Hi.

After removing all of the rear suspension, diff and trailing arms I expected the rear beam to come off with 'a bit of a downward shove'. Unfortunately it looks like the aluminium inserts in the old bushes are catching on the threaded section of the bolts.

How have people removed their beams ( ) ?

Is there somewhere you can hammer/push/lever? Do I need a puller for each side? Is there a hole in the car I can hammer down through  ?

Many thanks.

Big hammers, large levers, and large gas blowtorches all figure in this operarion.
You can attemt to drive the bolts upwards, (they have tapered heads in holes under the rear seat cushion), but these bushes don't usually give up without a fight.

Done...

The bolts turn out to be splined for those who didn't know (such as me)

Mate rang me at work and told me he's got the frame off, but broken the aluminium bush centre thing and it's stuck in the car or something..

Cheers guys..

just tap the bolts back up into the car,
may need to tap the aluminium part 'side to side'.
the 'aluminium bush centre thing' is part of the rear beam bush

that happened to me, the top aluminium part of the bush snapped off, and was left flush in the body, i nearly cried - i used a drill with one of those hole saw things to get the remains out
