Cruising along in low engine speeds in 1st or 2nd below 2000 rpm the engine kangaroo's a lot. Any reason?

air leaks in the intake side of things ? - theres a tonne of hoses under the inlet manifold! plus the bellows might be cracked (which reminds me i need to go to the stealers)

You need the Zone's finest chip and throttle body combination to sort out M42s... From personal experience and the tome of wisdom that is Brendan's iS site it would seem they're all a bit chewy at low revs. Zone kit sorted mine, and it's a good time to look for vacuum leaks when you have the TB off.
...or is it?

When I fitted the zone throttle body the hoses didn't look to bad - aside from the oil breather, that's in a state.
Have got a leaking fuel hose I'm replacing tomorrow though so that might help a bit?
