It also looks like it needs an idle control valve as I've read elsewhere on here about the fluctuating idle when it's cold. Surely that wouldn't cause the missfire at high revs?

The problem is the engine won't rev past 5000 without missfiring. I've changed the plug leads, distributor cap and rotor arm so far which has made it a lot better but I'm at a loss for ideas now
