I think some places tell you to bring a bottle to them and they'll fill it up with LSD fliud for you, yeah you cant buy it in proper cans :(
Theres an abbreviated invoice here and i "think" its Castrol LS Safex Oil, maybe that rings a bell with someone else?

State side it's Mobil 75W-90 Synthetic, albeit alot of guys, myself included, like to run Redline 75W-90. If you can't find it by the quart on your side of the drink, lemme know and I can probably get some to ya.

The proper oil for a BMW LSD is called Castrol SAF-XJ and comes in 25L drums. It is available from the BMW main dealers, just bring along a container. It costs about EUR25 per litre in Ireland, don't know the cost in the UK. A small casing diff takes about 1L of oil, while the large casing diff takes more than this, about 1.25L or 1.5L. You should check the owners handbook to make sure you buy sufficient amount to fill the diff.
