Here's a pic of mine without the front piece, I don't have a front section pic unfortunately.

thanks mate,
if my rear box was like that it would fit great,
the pipes on mine are in centre of box not to the left like yours.
which do i have then? 2 piece or 3 piece rear box?

Sounds like you have one from a pre-facelift car dude.A1BMW325iSport wrote:thanks mate,

the centre section on mine is way longer and has a silencer in as well.
early cars had 3 peice, later cars had 2 piece system?
i have 86 325i but with m-tech 2 kit which do i need the centre section fits fine so does rear box but not with bumper on lol

I think yours should be a 2 piece system. The front section usually has the other silencer.A1BMW325iSport wrote:the centre section on mine is way longer and has a silencer in as well.

Yours is definately a pre facelift car being an 86 and would have probably had an mtech 2 kit modded to fit.
I hate exhausts, they're never straight forwards and there seems to be unlimited strange combinations on E30's.

its been a pain to fit, missing exhaust brackets...
had to weld the bracket with captive nut to the rear subframe as that wasn`t there
then buy the bracket, bolts and rubbers from bmw,
then i only had one rear box bracket so had to buy one from bmw and weld it on, then i had to order the large scorpion oval brackets from motech.
only to find when i offered up the bumper that the pipes are about an inch too far over to the right
so not sure what to do now...
the centre section fits fine, will a later rear box fit my centre section? or do i have to fit whole new exhaust?
