Can not figure out how to dis-connect throttle cable from pedal?

And how does it dis-connect from the throttle body too.

Tried twisting the plastic attachment but it wont budge!

edit: got it off the throttle body and pedal!!!! cant get the cable through the bulkhead...there is a clip in the drivers footwell but space is so limited u cnt get a pair of pliers down there, let alone your hand!!!! any suggestions?

mr.haynes suggests taking the cable through the bulkhead from the engine compartment but this doesn't seem possible

This is a real bitch of a job, try breaking the plastic clip from the engine bay. You should have just enough clearance to get someone to hold in the pins with 2 screw drivers while you pull it out if you want to do it the proper way.

I remember much swearing and tool throwing when I changed my throttle cable. Just percivere, it will come out.

HAHA!

We did it!

Broke the blooming clip like you said Adam...gave it a good stepping on and spitting on when i had it on the floor.

Cable went through like a dream and now with the BBTB in as well and a couple of new breather hoses replaced the car seems to be idling very sweet.

The only thing is that the accelerator pedal was very stiff before. Now all you need is a feather to depress it.Wil take some getting used to.

Job done lads...and ladettes!
