I took the interiror carpet out a few months ago to dye it black, but after putting it back, my near side front and rear lights stay on all the time, I have had to remove the bulbs to avoid draining the battery.
Is it just a coinsedence or is it something to do with the carpet?
Any suggestions?

I'm not sure exactly which lights it brings on, but the indicator stalk doubles up as the 'parking lights' controller. Could you have knocked the stalk without realizing it, leaving your car in 'parking light' mode?
