I have ordered another ignition coil and it arrived today after I measured the secondary on my old on as being 5400 Ohms, which was well below the 8250 Ohms that the Haynes manual quoted. The new one has 5900 Ohms, which is better but still below.
Now, is the haynes manual wrong? Or have I got two ignition coils both with the same issue?
Secondly, sometimes after trying to start, the starter kind of gets locked, and when I try to start, it will not turn over unless I have it in gear and roll it forward a bit first. What causes this problem?
