cracked sump on 325i cabby

hey, when i originally bought my car i put a slight crack in the sump when i was taking it off the trailer, but i managed to fix this without taking anything apart, but i have cracked it pretty bad(and im not lying when i say i dont know how)and it is beyond repair, i have a new one to go on but how hard is it to take the old one off and what does it involve, i noticed there is already a topic simalar but it is for a 318is and i thought it may be different
any help much appreaciated

the sumps a bitch to change and the engine has to be raised to get the sump out as its wider at the top than the bottom.
