Hello there gents...just wondering,how easy is it to change an engine mount on a 316i...its the mount on the drivers side at teh bottom just under the manifold..

pretty easy.
a nut on the top and a nut underneath accessed from under the subframe, the one underneath may be a little stubborn to undo. The one on the top best dealt with by using a long extension bar and a u/j extension otherise it is a small area to work in using just a ratchet and socket.
You could jack the engine by using some wood underneath the sump and should be able to get it high enough to remove the rubber mount. May have to loosen the passenger side mount a little.
You may have some small telescopic dampers also attached to the mounts, which if you have you will need to undo them.
