As the subject suggests my electric sunroof has gone out of sync! It’s about an inch and a half out. I’m guessing it must have slipped on the drive at some point.

Does anyone know how to reset it?

Set the roof to fully closed, unscrew the screws that hold the motor assembly in place, drop it down to disengage the drive sprocket from the cables in the tubes. Use the switch to set the motor to the closed position, refit the motor.

I have now replace a few sun roof motors due the plastic sprockets teeth being worn so the motor goes out of sync. The sprocket has points on it that depress a micro switch to cut the motor at the correct position.

Try Brians method first but if that fails a good replacement motor is required.
