As some of you know, I recently bought an E30 for restoration.
Today was the first proper day that I got a chance to check stuff out in detail.

At the minute, my biggest problem is the doors. Both rear doors (4door model) appear to be deadlocked as they won't budge from the inside, outside or locking pin.

The passenger door can be opened, but only with the key. The inside handle and locking pin are stuck.

As for the driver door, it opens ok however the keyhole is in a bad way (maybe an attempted theft gone wrong) and when locking the door the keyhole moves straight to the deadlock position (horizontal). There is no intermediate basic lock and remove key vertically.

When opening the car from the drivers door, only the drivers door works and every other door is unresponsive. The bootlid seems to be unaffected.

Any ideas where I should start?? I removed some doorcards but i'm not sure what to be looking for. Thanks in advance!!

sounds like you've got a dodgy drivers key lock and/or central locking module found in the drivers footwell behind the speaker cover. change bot of these and i'm sure it'll work fine.
