heater fault?

hi the heater in my 325 dosent work at all i have checked the fuses but the motor dosent move at all when the switch is operated, my local bmw breaker informed me its a common fault on the e30 and the motor isnt at fault, but there con artists and i dont trust them? any info would be a big help cheers folks

If it doesn't work at all, the usual problem is simply that its bearings have seized after 20 years of no lubrication.
Often responds to taking the motor out, unseizing with penetrating oil, then a good lubricating session with a thin oil.
