Can i just say that the directions for adjusting the valves are spot on.

But unfortunatly they didnt take into account my fat fingers!!! i strated to adjust the first valve closest to the front of the car to 0.25mm and it is spot on,
goes to the next and i did the cardinal sin and forgot to turn the propshaft , so as a result of that, when i undid the fixing screw for the excentric it went "ping" and the adjusting hole moved around so you cant see it, prob because of the tension in the valve, so basically i need help to get me out of situation!!

Cheers [/b]

Turn the engine over untill its loose.
Use 22mm ring spanner on the crankshaft pulley nut, and DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE IT before starting the engine.

If its time for a coolant change, take the rad out. Cambelt change, rotor distributor cap all easy to get at then.
Or alternatively, get at the nut from underneath, if the undershield is off.

Don't mess about with spanners in the engine bay - there is no need.

1) Remove the plug leads and pivot the plug lead harness out of the way (careful, they cost a fortune).
2) Remove all plugs
3) Jack up the back, one or both wheels (or have space to roll her)
4) Handbrake off, 5th gear selected
5) turn the wheel(s) or roll the car to turn the engine over

Incidentally when the the adjuster nut is loosened with the 10mm spanner the mini-cam can be spun around with anything - you only need the little hole available for adjusting with the 10mm nut applying slight pressure.
