Noticed there is water in my passenger footwell under the carpet, sponge backing has soaked it up :( Appears to be dry at the top (higher end) of the carpet. Although I havent removed the carpet, juts pulled it up as much as possible. Non sunroof touring. Any ideas where could be coming from does not smell like coolant.

Take up the carpet and have a look around. There's quite a lot of topics on this subject if you take a look at the Search feature

Check the elephant trunk is not blocked.Take out glove box, usually behind is rusted through,so may be the cause,so get a light and have a look when it rains!!!

Two popular rot spots on the n/s are the bulkhead under the fusebox(covered in insulation both sides so difficult to keep an eye on) and the join betwen the wheelarch and the floor, just above the factory shell carrying square thingy on the underside.

Can you chop that square thingy out when you make repairs to the area?
