We changed a head gasket on a friends IS recently and can't get it to fire since.
The timing seems to be right and it's sparking, but the injectors aren't opening. There is fuel coming to the manifold, but no further.
There is battery voltage present at the connector where the injector loom connects to the engine loom, but we're only getting 0.5 to 0.7 volts at each injector. Can anyone tell me what this should be?
We tried two different injector looms and sets of injectors, but it's still the same.
I'm completely frustrated at this stage and need advice.

Thought that at one stage, but sethe lower pipe seems to short to reach the upper metal line so it seems there is only one way they can go.
Thanks though and keep the ideas coming.

This all sounds familiar.
Pop the plastic cover off the injector loom and make sure that you're getting a voltage at each injector live. The best way to do this is with a 12Vbulb and not a multimeter.
My problem turned out to be injectors being stuck shut after being reconditioned and left sitting for a month.
When you changed the injectors over did you try a different fuel rail? It could be a faulty pressure regulator.
Cam position sensor?
