I want to replace my damaged heater panel. After all the switches, stereo, heater knobs and the 4 screws are removed will it just come out on it's own without the heater assembly attached to the back? I just want to be prepared before diving in. Thanks

2 screws up into the dash from the top.
2 screws up from down by the ash tray.
Pull off the 3 sliders and prise off the plastic that surrounds them. 4 screws behind that which hold on the heater setup. Pull off the 2 knobs. One of them has a screwed on collar too.

Hi Ed,
It's like Cros said
Pull the knobs off the heater sliders, and then carefully remove the plastic trim piece that the sliders poke through. If you get an old kraft knife blade, you should be able to lift the edge up just enough to get your finger nail under it. I would avoid trying screwdrivers as you may damage the edge of the plastic. It may even be possible to push it out from behind if you have the complete panel loose.
Once removed, the 4 securing screws are right in front of you.
Cheers,
Ian.
