My car a 1990 320 post facelift has become very hard to start.
At first I thought it was the battery that kept going flat. That's now replaced and still have the same problem.
Turn the key and it cranks, sometimes fire up, revs for a second then dies. The only way to get it to start is to pump the throttle. After the doing this about five times it will start and keep running but with a low idle about 500rpm. Push the throttle again and it will rise but hesitate abit then drop.
Once it has been started I can turn it on and off as many times as I like that day, and it starts fine. Can then go and drive for two hours with no problems. The next day it won't start again.
Any ideas guys?
