My interior lights have gone wonkey.
If both lights are set to switch on when the door is open, the drivers side switches off and the passenger side is normal brightness.
if you close the door both light up but are quite dim.
The relay under the dash can be heard clicking when only one light is in the on position, but with both on, it doesnt click.
Im trying to install my time delay relay, but need to fix this before i start.
Any ideas?
Brian ???

Something vey weird here.
Did this just happen on its own or after you'd been working on it?
Looking at the circuit diagram, this shouldn't be possible, as , with both lights switched to auto, they are connected in parallel, and what one light does the other should also.
Doesn't fit your description of the symptoms, but if one of the door switches wasn't earthing properly, you would get power from the window relay coil fed into the light circuit. Check the door switches are beingt earthed properly by the single cross head screw in each.
Also check that the wiring connections in both the interior lights is the same.

The wires were the wrong way round on the drivers side.

The light bulb.
I had the brown and red/green the wrong way round.
Brian, I posted a topic in FAO for you about time delay wires.

In a few topics you speak of changing a few wires around on the interior light delay relay, to enable it to work without the handle switch.
can you remember which wires?
