1) If I change my small case diff to a medium case, do I need new drive shafts?

2) How does everyone who has done an M50 conversion fit fit the engine loom on the bulkhead? i guess they take the wires out of the e34/e36 plastic case and put in the e30 wire cover????

3) are 4pot front top mounts different to 6 pot top mounts?

Cheers

Stu

1.As long as your medium case diff has come from an E30,it will just bolt in.The prop shaft may need adjusting for length at the centre mount.
2.I used the M40 fit loom cover, cut to suit.
3.Front top mounts are the same across the range, only springs differ between 4/6 cylinder cars due to the weight difference.

Few more questions:

1) when I get my h&r cup kit which lowers 40mm on the rear, will the e39 eccentric bolt mod provide enough adjustment to put this right?

2) does any know some recommended geometry settings that I can give to the guy that will be doing the full alignment on the car?

Regards

Stu

1) more than enough adjustment for 40mm

2) 1.5-2 degree toe in at the front, 0 at the rear, -0.5 degrees camber at the rear should work nicely for you.

What about camber for the front if I get adjustable top mounts?

.5-2.5 degrees camber on the front should be loads

and some more questions!

As always, I've forgotton what some of the wires are for within the engine loom.

I have a bunch of wires and I need confirmation what they are for.

Here's the bay at the moment:

I'm assuming these 3 wires are earths:

This fat wire that leads to the fuse box is live:

Finally, how have people connected the live to the battery? There's obviously no terminal for the live on the engine loom...Can I get a live version of this and wire it in?
