chipping a 323i system swap

Hi, can anyone give me some advice i have a 323i with l jetronic i would like to chip my ecu but have been told it is not possible with this system would i be able to remove a motronic system from a later car and fit to mine also which parts would i have to remove i will also be using the 525eta block to upgrade to 2.7 any help would be appreciated.
