hi guys, my 325 was running perfect until it randomly cut out losing power, now it will spin over but just wont fire up, i have checked and i have good compression and spark, i have a feeling it is the fuel pump?
anyone else had this problem.

Fuel pump is fed from fuse 11 via a relay,so your first check should be the fuse,then check for power at the relay(fuel pump relay is under the cover,forward of the fusebox and close to the airbox)feed from the relay is the green/violet wire.
Next check is at the fuel pump to make sure you have juice there as well,remember that the fuelpump is only switched live whilst the engine is cranking or running.

when you checked for a spark, was there fuel on the spark plug or were they bone dry?
just had my fuel pump go @ 143k miles. caused the problem you mentioned, and before it completely died, it used to not fire when warm. (ie. it wouldnt fire up 1st key turn, but it would 2nd or 3rd key turn), and near the very end i had to hit the top of the pump to get it going.
