Hi, just aquired a '89 320i and it has a alternator/battery problem. The previous owner states the battery gets drained by the obc. When I went to collect the car, the battery was disconnected but the voltage was 9.6 and after jump starting it I let it warm up and the alternator was charging at 13.15 volts at idle and when reved up to 2000~ rpms.
My guess is that the battery and alternator are stuffed.
I will be looking at it tomorrow and would like to know what to check for.
