Hi guys, I was driving the cab in the glorious weather we had last week when it suddenly lost power.

I tried to re start it a few times at first it spluttered but didn't fire then it just turned over without even spluttering. :) (very technical talk I know )

AA thought i may have run out of fuel because the engine was trying to fire when he sprayed cold start into it. But we bought fuel and no difference.

He then said it was probably the fuel pump had gone. Got towed to garage now garage say. It is probably fuel pump. Its a special order part couple of days to come and all that.
They say that should fix it but there is no guarantee.

Apparently I'm looking up towards £300 all in if that does the trick and she is alive again. Kind of what I was expecting but do you guys think it sounds reasonable and do you reckon that is probably the problem?

So your paying £300 for a fuel pump that takes less than 5 mins to fit under the back seats, when you can get a good used one for £20 and fit it yourself :?

Yeah, try and get the car home, then use all the smart people on here to help you through the diagnostics process.
