Bought the car with a missing motor on the rear passenger door. Fitted a motor from a scrap driver's door (same side), plugged it all in, and it works fine... except that when you have to press the button UP to make it go DOWN.
Yes, yes, the simple solution would be to rotate the switches around, but then I'd have one switch looking odd. Any idea what's caused this polarity switch? All the plugs in the loom only have one way of clipping together, as far as I can see.
I bet this is going to be a really simple stupid thing that I'm just not seeing...

change the wires inside the other way up?... as in i mean the connectors.. or are they only one way only?...

I didn't force in any connectors; the motor has a lead glued to it(from the factory), and where that connects to the door loom there's definitely only one way round for it to go. And the motor worked fine on the scrapper.
Im wondering if there's something further down the loom that's been tampered with. Guess I'll have to start checking.
