Hello,

I've found the wheels I've want in 16x8 with an et10. Does anyone have any info/suggestions on what size tyres to use? Ideally I'd like it to be similar (no bigger for sure!) than what I'm using at the moment - 205/55/R15's on the standard 15x7 bbs.

Or will the wheels fit?! Haha! They are 4x100 :D

Am I right in thinking a lower profile will lower the car a touch, but also provide a touch more arch clearance? My car is lowered 60mm...

The wheels will fit being 4x100.Dont know about the et bisuiness i dont understand it.
Having low profile tyrres on your car with a 60mm drop will be sound (stop any rubbing issues.)
As for the tyres i`d hardly call a 55 a low profile more like 35`s & 40`s.I would have thought that 205`s would be enough possibly squeze a 215 in there.(not sure.)

Thanks!

I think I'll run some 195s or 205's at the most up front, as I have "issues" with my wheel arches currently, and a bit more clearance would be nice...!

I was thinking 195/45s or 205/45s up front and 215/45 on the rear but not sure if they will catch?

Thanks in advance...

dont know what the standard e30 offest is but et10 is going to sit out further,i would put a wheel on and see how close to the arch lip it is,then choose a tyre with enough stretch to not rub

The standard offset is 25 on a 15x7 I believe!

I'd order the rims off t'interweb, so can't offer them up...

Centre bore should be 57.1 from memory.

205/55/15 is the same rolling diameter as 205/50/16, or 225/45/16.

You may struggle with an offset of 10.

Have a play around with the tyre size/offest calculator on this link http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... calculator

Awesome, thank you!

I've also spied 16x8s with an et of 20 and 25... Would these work?
