Hey guys It seems that I need your help again. I want to fit a power/electric hood to my 1992 E30 convertible. I would like to know if there is anyone over here that sells a complete kit. Furthermore please let me know what parts will I need to transform my manual hood to an electric one.
Cheers Dimitris

Hi,
There is alot of work involved to install a power hood. The e30 power hoods are problematical and if you have a manual hood i would stay with it.
You will need the main motor and gearbox, flap motor, control unit, switch and wiring loom to run to the front of the car.
Once installed you need to set it up and adjust to get it to function properly.
You are best getting all the bits from a breaker with good known bits otherwise it gets expensive.
From the dealers the main motor and gearbox will set you back £650, control unit £350 and so on.
Good luck
Peter
