Ok, I'm done with searching old threads in the hope that someone had a similar problem but alas I've been unable to find anything.

I'm trying to swap some window glass (not security marked) from my old doors to my new doors (with security marks for a different car) this on an a 2door (Baur, not that it matters). But am utterly stuck at removing the door glass from the old doors. Everything I've read seems to indicate that there are bolts that hold the glass onto the mechanism but I can not find any bolts and it appears that there is some black plastic stuff in with the windows where they are seated on the mechanism, so I guess they've just been bonded with something?

So has anyone got any tips as to how I get them out without breaking them? I'm not overly bothered about whether the mechanisms survive I just want my windows back :)

To remove the glass you need to remove the 10mm bolts/ nuts that hold the winder mechanism in place to the door inside skin, you can then slide off the mechanism from the glass, the aluminium clamp type things that bond to the glass stay with the glass, if that makes sense.

Takes about 5 mins
