A fellow E30 owner has a wierd problem i have not seen before.
After turning of the ignition, the revcounter needle moves up to 1000Rpm and the swing-o-meter needle moves down to 50Mpg.....Switch the ignition on and they return to their proper resting positions and operate normally. SI board batteries have been checked, and appear to be ok....
Also, with the ignition off, their is a drain on the battery of around 0.8 - 1.0 Amps. The nuts on the back of the temp and fuel gauge are missing.
Any ideas on what is causing these ?
