I have inspected the ignition components today, got the dizzy cap off and claned it but when i tried to remove the rotor arm i noticed one of the 3 allen head bolts it`s rounded and i can not remove it( the previous owner tried to remove it with no success and i also have to change the timing belt ) the other two are in good shape but i gave up removing them because they were too tight and i didn`t wanted to round them too. I don`t know what to do to remove them... i tink a bit of WD-40 will help but my question is : If i will finally unscrew them, is it ok to replace them with hex-bolts of the same lenght and size?

The picture is to describe what bolts i am talking about and it`s not taken on my car. Thank you for your help

Yes,you can use a similar bolt with a different head,as the actress said to the bishop,....
BMW probably used cap head bolts to discourage us from unfastening them!
Another trick is torx head bolts, easy to fit on a production line, but can be swines when the spines rust off...

remember when removing stuck torx and allen bolts always shock load them dont try prgressive torque progressive torque will round it but big force shock loading will either unod it snap the allen key or make it jump out of the screw.

Grab the outside of the bolts with grips and turn the hex key at the same time.
Any decent fasteners supplier should be able to come up with identical cap bolts.

Judging by the state of it just buy a new one and it will come with new bolts.
