Trying to investigate the fault with my wiring.....

I took the fuel pump relay off, I think, which one is it out of the three under that little cover? And what are the other two, one white one and another yellow.
The wiring underneath, just one of the green wires has 'melted' a touch and you can see bare wire. But what can it have touched to cause this problem?

How do I go about fixing it? :(

Having had a look at the wiring to the ECU, under the plastic sheething, there is obvious signs of bare wires, and I'm guessing a couple of these touched to cause the problems, and this is what burnt out the wiring to the fuel pump relay etc.

Got to change the loom..........

at least you've found the problem dave.
sometimes it's finding the problem that's the ballache.
and now you can give karan a slap, saying it's his bodged wiring in that area

Probably don't want to hear this but after i changed the loom on a mondeo with a similar problem it burnt out again ,remember the loom plugs into many components it only takes one of them to burn out your new loom  in my case it turned out to be a fault in the clocks!!
nightmare. I don't know how experienced you are so i apologise if this is rather patronizing. good luck
Regards

All advice is welcomed!

Karan helped me change the engine loom today, then there were a couple of other faults which we sorted out.

The starter which I put on is still dodgy.

The main problem was the many bare wires where the loom goes through the bulkhead which we think would have been shorting!!

Anyway, it is running now!

Drift day here we come!! :D :D :D :D :D

see you monday. glad to hear you fixed your car and can still come along. the first sign of wiring problems i throw in the towel i hate it. when my fuel pump wiring fucked up causing massive spluttering randomly...and then eventually nothing. i just paid someone to fix it. haha...

Fuc*ing right!! It was awesome!

Think I should change my tyres now, they are showing canvas all the way round! Quality.

What's up with your car then?

I e-mailed the chap, he said I wasn't on record!

I e-mailed him back showing him my bank statement, and my paypal transaction list so it should be sorted. I'm going on if they like it or not!

Can't wait for tomorrow!
