i think the 2.5 box will give you a little bit more acceleration in 1st 2nd and 3rd, but im sure that 4th and 5th are the same on both, or it could just be 5th thats the same, but yeah go for it

don't I know that feeling. i just got a 320 with a noisey 3rd and 5th. took me some time to get the old one out and the one out of my breaker but once you worked out where all the bolts are (help to have a friend called Toby who knows what he is doing) and how to get them off your on a winner, I also thought it a good chance to replace the clutch relase bearing as it just slots on the input shaft and it was badly worn as yours probably will be if the box is dead.
The only problem i came across was getting the box off the floor to slip it onto the splines on the engine as it wont sit on a jack very well. If you have any problems give me a shout, I still have whole procedure fresh in my mind as I only did it last week

ive taken an engine and box straight out of a 320 and slapped a 325 engine and box in and kept the same prop
