'broken glass everywhere'
Moderator: martauto
Some little shit decided it would be fun to throw stones at my front passenger window!
What I need to know is how tricky it is to replace and how do you go about re-fitting (for a laugh I phoned autoglass - £179 with discount!).
The car is a 325 touring with electric windows. Are there any variations in the glass i.e tints etc.
Many thanks

Where are you dude? Myself and VeinAST on here regularly raid J.Jones 'salvage yard' on Caen hill in Devizes, they nearly always have a couple of E30's to choose from.
If you need a hand give me a shout

Any four door facelift glass will do, EXCEPT a few E reg saloons, which still had the early shape glass, but in the later (green) colour.
Thanks guys, window in! Thanks to magpie for quick delivery etc.rix313 wrote:Hi (I presume your name is TOM?)tomk wrote:Ok thanks guys - I'll have to phone some scrappies tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me is there any way of doing minor adjustments? the glass doesn't quite sit home in the top corner. Would one of the bolts I had to un-do to move the mechanism?
Rix, I'm based just outside Chippenham. I've heard of the one in Devises, just need to get down there. We'll have to meet up and go for a cruise sometime - Castle Combe?
Town325i your a little bit further away, but love the look of your touring! very sweet! has it been dropped?town325i wrote:bloody hell im working not far from you lot im working on the A303 andover

Don't skimp on replacing the waterproof membrane behind the door card, even if you just use polythene sheet and gaffer tape. You don't want to be looking at wet carpets in a few rainy days time.
