i need a bigger alternator 318is.

i am running 3kw of ICE and i need a bigger alternator for my 318is. Does anyone know which ones i can use that will give me more output im not sure which one i have at the moment but my lights dim when the bass drops .

I think a 2.5 alt should be bigger - I have one for sale if you need one.

you could just fit a decent power cap should solve the problem it should only be taking major power the its droppin low on the bass notes

a power cap wont make any difference u need a gel battery like this


a power cap is only to help the battery/altonator on huge power surges such as fat bass lines and an up rated altonator will still b needed where a gel battery will do this alot better and the altonator will not need to b replaced and u can turn up to a cruise and show off ur sounds all day and still start the car at the end of the show with no worrys. i do it all the time

how many amps is the one your selling, is it straight fit for 318is?

touring daddy how much power you running? i have a blue exide maxxima going in the boot and keeping an orignal BMW one upfront.
