I would check with your insurance company before fitting. I believe its illegal to leave a car running unattended and people have been nicked for using remote start things.
Another reason not to fit is you are increasing the wear on the engine internals by leaving a cold engine idling

i just had a look today is it the thin blue wire?, it connects to the blue plug in the cluster, theres also another blue wire but its thicker, willnz wrote:The charge light lead is blue, you will find it at pin#1 on the C101 plug. From there it runs behind the glovebox to the dash cluster to pin#16 on the blue plug.
I am not sure why you need to connect a wire to it, do they supply a diagram with the alarm so you can be sure you are doing it right? If you could post it up we could make sure you are not about to nuke your dash/alternator...![]()
I have never had to connect a wire to the charge light for any alarm I have ever fitted, (and i have fitted lots) that is why I am asking.
Will
i found these wires under the gbox

Is it one of those cheap aolin alarms?
Cuz they are crap, i`ve got one and every few months the remote looses sinc with the "brain" and it has to be reset.
Got to admit though it is nice to get in a warm car and not having to scrap ice off in the morning after using the remote start.
Dont understand how they can be illegal.

Unless the car is on private property, they are illegal in the UK!
