320 wouldn't accelerate over 1500 rpm

the car was sitting unused for a while when i went to use it agin it started no problem and soubded grand went to accelerate and it would nt go over 1500 the problem was the trotte pot sensor was full of crap cleaned it out put it back on its working fne now
