i had this problem a happen twice a while ago but only briefly, lasy night it lasted for about a minute.
I was just driving round a roundabout and suddely the car just bogged down and wouldnt rev. if i dipped the clutch it would rev up a bit but then as soon as i engage a gear it just stops reving. then that cleared up and at the next junction it happened again and i couldnt move the car, every time i tried to pull away it bogged down but in neutral it wouldnt rev over 2.5k and even then it was like the rev limiter was set to 2.5k and would fluctuate between 1.5k and 2.5k. after about a minute ir cleared up and didnt do it the rest of the night.
i checked all the leads are on ok both ends, and the afm plug it on properly. the car was originaly a 1.6 but i put a 2.5 in, its recently had a new fuel filter. im stilll running the pump from the 1.6 but i cant see that would be the problem as i have drifted the car alot and given it alotof abuse and it never bogged down on me once then.
any ideas guys?

Try cleaning the throttle body,ICV & AFM. I had a funny idle problem. Doing this so far has fixed the problem.
