the washer needs to go back on too, after the 'hat', otherwise there's not a lot holding the bush on!

well, i left them on mine as they fitted best like that and provide firm support over the whole face of the bush. after all, you're fitting them to prevent unwanted movement of the whole rear subframe and only supporting half of the bush / hat seems utterly wrong.
without the washers fitted on mine, there was a gap the same size as the washers that needed filling to stop it all slopping up and down...

do you mean the metal sleeve pokes out 10mm? if so, you've probably got rust or the broken remnants of the old bush centre sleeve stuck in the hole in the chasses.

that sounds ok then. i was hoping that would be the case as a broken lump of standard bush is a pig to get out
i don't know of anyone else specifically who has them but mine are the same as yours, (purple powerfelx jobbies). now go and bolt them up
