I've got a got a clonk from my drivers side drive shaft, therefore i want to replace it.
I was just wondering whether both sides are equal lengths?
Where is the best place to get one?

I would apprieciate any advice.

Cheers

Afiak they are both the same length. I had a quick check and there's only one part number for them on RealOEM too.

I think Trevor (B7) has a pair for sale, check out his thread in the for sale section. Other than that put up a post in the wanted section. They are probably still available new from BMW but I'd make sure you are sitting down if you ask for a price from them.

they're about £350 each from BMW! if your car has abs make sure the new one has an abs ring on it.

They're all the same though RE fitment. So an M3 shaft with fit a 316i and vice versa

You can fit an abs ringed one into a non abs car. This is the only difference in them

Thanks guys,

I went to BM today to find out the cost and as you say its £327.
But i managed to get one from GSF for £120, it has the ABS ring and was packaged up by GKN, so hopefully it should be good enough!

Cheers

You'd have probably got a pair for £30 in perfectly useable condition here...... in fact.... i'd have sold you a pair for less than that. :( 90 notes wasted... imagine how pished/mashed you could have got off that. Thats a good night out IMO. Bad Times Bears.
