How do I remove the vents in the cenre of the dash above the clock / heater controls without damaging anything? I'm going to be re-locating my auxhiliary guages into this space but can't see how the vents come out without dismantling the middle dash panel. I have tried prising them out but am afraid to try too hard incase something breaks.

Cheers in advance. :thumb:

it does unclip but it can be a right sod to get out without marking the dash, try a couple of trim removal tools at the edges

I done this to make some gauges there mate. Basically i spent ages trying to prize it out, then took the little pannel out that is to the right of the glove box, i think (cant remeber, was ages ago) this allowed me to get a small screwdriver in from the back of the vent and push down on the clip.

Mate they push in from the front and clip in with four tabs, two on top two on bottom. the easiest way to remove is to get two of yer mums best silver table knives, and stick them in either both in top or both on bottom, use a torch to look in the hole, slide the knife between the tab and the surround thus pushing down the tab, once they are in place it just slides out. NOTE this is best done from the rear of the vent, dont know if it will work from the front. (i had the dash out ) try taking the heater/radio surround panel off and you should be able to get in from the rear of the vent from underneath.
