What rates are recommended if I'm going with true rear coilovers like Gaz one's ? Front and rear rates please ?

It's a street car only but I need a firm ride because I have 8.5x15 et06 front and 9x15 et00 rear with 195/50/15 and want to go low.

That this is not recommended is certainly known?

Spring rates doesen't matter. If the wheel has no place to go and strikes the fender, the stiffness of the springs doesen't matter. An advantage is the negative camber, which allows the wheel to pass the fender.

In your case, I would recommend spring deflexion limiter. And a good insurance.

Front rates would depend on what engine is fitted.

Rear rates would depend on whether it's a 2dr/4dr/touring or cabby.

Do you carry rear seat passengers?
Have you weighed the car down with amps and subwoofer cabinets etc??

Don't worry about spring rates. Read my earlier post. If there is not enough space for the wheels, a high spring rate won't safe you. Use deflexion limiters or make the real deal and widen your fenders enough.

And without wanting to offend you: with these tyres mounted, the springs are the least thing to worry about.

With an M20B25 lump up front i use 550Lb/" springs 6" in length with 4" 4Lb/" helpers

On the tourer, (which does has excess baggage in the boot)I use 225Lb/" springs, although I am swapping them for some 275Lb/" ones when i've got some spare time and notivation as I feel the rear is still a little on the soft side for my liking.
.

I rarely carry passengers.
