Cam seals

I'm looking at buying a 325 and the chappy says that the cam seal weeps a little oil. apperently its a common problem, any thoughts?......

If the guy pointed it out what didn't he point out ?
As for the seal just ignore it unless it's a river.
Get it fixed next time the timing belt is done.

done mine when i did the cambelt, seal goes into a little housing which bolts onto the head and is sealed by a o'ring, about Ԛ£7 for the 2 from BMW.

It is a common problem... and nothing much to worry about.
Just replace it when you get do the belt..
