anoying noise

when i put my steering on full lock it makes a loud creaking noise .
i also was told there is a e30 garage in west midlands area has anyone any idea where . thanks

Is it power assisted steering?

If so,check the level and condition of the fluid in the reservoir...

yep its power steering and the fluid is between min and max . my car is a 318 is if this helps .

Check the belt on the steering pump is tensioned correctly,and, if the fluid is black...change it! Fresh fluid is generally red.

Does it have standard wheels on the car? Could they be rubbing on the inner arch??

it has tsw 16" alloys on i will have a look at them when i get a chance. as for the power steering belt the only belt that needs looking at is my fan belt could that have out to do with it , the altornator fan is solid just the fan belt that is a little loose

I think that it is the belt that goes to power steering pump.
