when i am turning sharp right the power steering makes a "clunking "noise " .. you can also feel it thru the steering wheel . It only happens turning right .
I have had it on the ramps .. nothing is loose .It only happens when the engine is on and the power steering cuts in .
Any ideas what it is and how to fix????
Car is a 92 e30 cabby 325i.
A BIT MORE INFO TO HELP ISOLATE TH EPROBLEM ..ADDED SUNDAY..when i jacked them the problem went away ,, Weight /pressure is needed on the front wheels to create the problem .. So when it was on the ramp stands the clunking returned but only when the ignition was on .. This make me think it is most likely in the power rack since if it was mechanical it would happen with or without the ignition on .
