Right I have two E30 325i's one that im canibilising to make the other one into a rally car.

But they have different injection and ignition systems. One is a D reg and the other an E plate. Now was there a change in the model as the later one (E reg) has a different ignition setup and all the other lecy bits are Bosch?

So was there a change in the E30 model electrical setup between D&E reg and if so what was different?

Big changes. Early is jetronic, later is motronic.
Engines complete with electrics are inrechangeable, or you can fit all the sensors, along with the rest of the electrics to the other engine.

Don't like to question Brian (& I expect that means I'm wrong ), but I thought it was just early 2.0s and 2.3s that had jetronic, & all 2.5s were motronic? Different ecus & motronic 1 vs 1.1 for the facelift? Something like that? :?

What gain will this give?

So are they all the same type of injection management?
