e30 convertible coil problem....

Hey guys ive got a "E" reg 325i convertible and have a problem with the postive side of the coil the green wire isnt live when ingintion is switched also the two white relays one for the fuel pump and the other i dont know are not comming on too as it looks like its controled but the same ingnition wire.....trying to trace the wire can anyone tell me where the green wire goes to cause when i put a postive to the plus side if the coil it all works and starts......... where does the green go to ...a relay or where in the car....
can anyone shed some light and help...thanks

Hmm sounds like the ghost of an immobiliser being fitted.

check to see if the feed has been tampered with behind the glovebox, there is a loop wire there for immob to kill the coil, if its been tampered with it'll be obvious, linking green to green should solve the issue.

if in doubt put a pic up of what you find :thumb:

theres two silver boxes behind the glove box on is a VDO with a small blue rectangular plug and the other is alot bigger with a big big white plug the unit is bolted upside down.......
