Headlight adjusters rarely work. the liquid leaks out. tou could do an e36 electric conversion, but imo it aint worth bothering with.

The plastic tank is an expansion tank for fuel/ gasses (i think)

There's been some previous threads about this, such as http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... highlight=

The upshot is that not much can be done to repair the existing system as its so fragile. However, I've just spent the weekend taking out the old system and installing a brand new one I got cheap on fleabay.... Pig of a job, but its all working now....

you can buy the replacement pipes (already filled with the fluid from the dealers for about Ԛ£35 they can be repaired but its a hell of a job normally to find the leak without stripping the whole lot out first

My adjusters have stopped working, the piston assemblies on the back of the lights are cracked and leaking

I went to the local BMW dealer on friday last week and he said the hydraulics parts are no longer available so I've ordered a set of manual adjusters for Ԛ£12 instead.

Cheers,
