has anyone or is it even possible to convert the e30 wipers to the newer type found on new focuses for example.

i know i would need new wiper arms, but does anyone know which ones would be suitable?

reason for me asking is cos i think they looks smarter that the oem ones.

Do you mean the flat "aero" ones? If so you can get ones that are a direct replacement for the normal wipers. I've got them on my Fiat but they don't wipe any better than standard imo.

here's a link to some, they are quite good, no better than a set of genuine bosch ones though

my ebay replacement flat wiper blades are terrible! don't do it! - the ends don't touch the screen and leave some terrible streaks...

rain-ex eh?.... might try this

Well they are one piece, dont streak, dont bounce and I think Tesco balls`d up because they are either £6 or £8 quid each now.

I tried Ebay ones and they were OK, the best thing about them was no high speed judder but they didnt last that long before they started smearing and never wiped all the way to the tips.

I have tried cheapo Trupart wipers and they clear more of the screen but at anything above 50 they judder like mad going up and clear on the way down, so I've ordered some normal style ones from here, one with a spoiler and one without.

I hope you dont mind the newbie posting here... but i have just replaced the wipers on my Punto for Aero wipers and it has made the world of difference!!!

I did however sin and try the cheap ones first and they were rubbish... the new ones were £45 for the two blades and they are excellent!! i have not taken them off the first speed setting yet and we have had some heavy thunderstorms!!
